LUCY CONNOLLY DENIED ACCESS TO DAUGHTER AGAIN Is there no pity sitting in the clouds?

Is there no pity sitting in the clouds?

There’s certainly none in our rotten judicial system. Nor from our disgusting government, which routinely uses political imprisonment for the most vulnerable, to silence dissent.

Lucy Connolly has again been refused leave to see her daughter and sick husband. She’s the childminder jailed for three years, over a stupid tweet about last summer’s riots. Lucy suffered PTSD after losing a child and was mentally unwell when she tweeted. Crazily, she was urged to plead guilty, having been misled into it, believing this would allow her to care for her sick husband and daughter over Christmas. Instead, she was locked up and denied access to them.

She’s served more time than many involved in the actual violence, let alone the numerous violent thugs, rapists, paedophiles etc who are routinely not jailed. A Pakistani father who savagely beat his daughter with a crowbar outside her school, as pupils were arriving for GCSEs, was spared jail because it would ‘damage his family life’. The Labour councillor who made throat-cutting gestures was bailed and has still not been tried. And the Labour MP who savagely beat up a constituent, kicking him when on the ground, served about a day - the judge saying prison had been ‘too traumatic for him’. All these are from the ‘other side’ in our culture war, so no need for chokey. Muslims and Labour figures are always favoured, in our absurdly two-tiered justice system.

Lucy’s brutal treatment is a blatant political imprisonment, masquerading as justice. She’s been denied access to her family, despite posing no risk and being described by prison experts as an ideal person for home release. Those are the appalling facts. And even if one somehow did think she deserved prison, where is the mercy and pity, from our preening progressives? The reason hinted at for her denial of home leave is the ‘adverse publicity’ this would draw. In other words, embarrassment to Starmer et al about her being inside.

Her husband is a Tory councillor - the fact he’s a Tory obviously relevant - gravely ill with bone marrow disease, and she has a 12-year old girl in the first year of secondary school. I’m utterly ashamed of this country, that she’s rotting in jail and her family is going through agony, all for a dumb tweet removed very quickly. Where is the concern for her daughter, in all this?

Is there no pity sitting in the clouds

that sees into the bottom of my grief?

But one look at Starmer - with his resemblance to Lavrentiy Beria - confirms why she’s banged up. He blatantly interfered in the process last summer, improperly demanding tough sentences and our vile judiciary obliged. And, in true Orwellian style, our PM made his many millions as a ‘Human Rights Lawyer’. In reality, he couldn’t give a toss about our basic freedoms, it’s all a pose for his enrichment and to feed his enormous vanity.

If Starmer had been in Stalin’s Soviet Union, he’d gleefully have consigned millions to the firing squads or Gulags.
